Other Military Cases:

Between 2003 and 2015, 3M manufactured the Dual-Ended Combat Arms™ Earplugs that were distributed to thousands of military personnel. In a recent settlement agreement with the United States Department of Justice, 3M agreed to pay $9.1 million to resolve allegations that they knowingly sold defective earplugs to the U.S. military. These settlement proceeds will not be distributed to military personnel. Autism and ADHD Linked to Use of Tylenol While Pregnant

If you or a loved one took Tylenol while pregnant and your child developed autism or ADHD, we can help you get compensation.

Tylenol and Autism, ADHD

Tylenol® (acetaminophen) is a common over-the-counter medication for cold and pain relief. Taking Tylenol while pregnant was generally thought to be safe. However, frequent and high use of Tylenol during pregnancy has now been linked to an increased risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children.

If your child has been diagnosed with Autism and/or ADHD from exposure to Tylenol during pregnancy, we can help you get the financial compensation you deserve, including compensation related to increased medical, educational and caregiver costs as well as emotional distress.

New Research Links Tylenol to Autism and ADHD

Tylenol is the iconic brand name for Acetaminophen, one of the most popular and commonly used over-the-counter drugs for generations. Millions of Americans have taken Tylenol or some generic acetaminophen product thinking it was safe. The manufacturers of Tylenol and acetaminophen have a long history of marketing their drug as the safest pain relief option during pregnancy. In fact, Tylenol/acetaminophen is one of the least understood commonly used pharmaceutical product available over the counter. A growing body of scientific and medical research has determined that Tylenol use during pregnancy can disrupt the neurologic development of the fetus.

A study released in 2021 by a group of 91 leading doctors and scientists from various fields joined in the publication of a Consensus Statement in the journal Nature Reviews Endocrinology. The Consensus Statement was designed to alert the larger medical community and the public to the link between Tylenol or acetaminophen use during pregnancy and the increased risk of both autism and attention deficit disorder.

The Consensus Statement disclosed epidemiological studies over the last decade including 29 observational studies encompassing over 220,000 mother-child pairs worldwide. These studies consistently showed this clear link and further recommended a warning label on all acetaminophen products about the risks of use during pregnancy.
